This is where it begins – your next adventure, taking you to places where few others ever go. Just you and your BMW GS. Over stones and gravel, through wind and water, into deep ditches and over the highest hills. Be in your #SpiritOfGS element with joy in your heart, sand in your teeth, and adrenaline in your blood.
We built the F 900 GS for precisely such experiences. Through the engine and the body, we’ve optimised everything to create a bike with maximum power, but light weight. Leading to the BMW F 900 GS: your perfect Enduro.
As if built for you
The ergonomic triangle of the F 900 GS has been optimised for off-road use: higher handlebars, lower footrests. The footbrake lever is also higher and thus easier to reach, partly due to the lower rests. The folding foot plate also provides optimal accessibility. The adjustable gearshift levers allow you to assume the perfect position. Whether you're riding with boots for the street or off-road, standing or sitting. Leaving your comfort zone has never been more comfortable.
Well equipped for any terrain
The body of the F 900 GS has been upgraded not only visually and technically, but also in terms of comfort and safety. The hand protectors provide more safety. Made of plastic as standard, they offer increased wind and weather protection. The Enduro hand protectors with metal brackets also lend additional protection, especially for action-oriented riders of the F 900 GS Trophy. With the optionally available preparation for navigation devices, you can attach a BMW navigation device or other devices, such as an action cam, to the motorbike.
The destination always in sight
The ConnectedRide Navigator clearly shows you everything you need to know on the road. In addition to important vehicle information, it provides you with current traffic information and, thanks to regular map updates, you can be sure to always reach your destinations. Its robust hardware can handle just about anything. And with the BMW Motorrad Connected app, you can also integrate your smartphone content.
Less weight, more confidence
The F 900 GS is astonishingly lightweight, weighing only 219 kg*. Making it the ideal BMW GS model for kicking up sand off-road, ploughing through gravel or climbing mountains.
New parts, including the plastic tank, battery, rear section and Akrapovič rear silencer, help keep the model’s low weight. This lighter weight manifests in superior handling and high performance.
Achieve everything with the right drive
Whether you're on the straight asphalt or rough terrain: the parallel-twin engine of the F 900 GS delivers maximum riding pleasure on every surface. Two-cylinder in-line engine offers more peak power with an improved torque curve. With its optimised power curve, the F 900 GS reaches a peak output of 77 kW (105 hp) at 8,500 rpm. The broad torque curve offers up to 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm.
New and yet familiar: the body
The F 900 GS is ready to break new ground, right down to the smallest detail. Its body has an ultra-sporty shape. The tank trim including radiator cowl looks very slender. The frame trims create good contact with the vehicle, especially when riding stood up. The standard windscreen is the optimum size for Enduro use. The small, distinctive GS beak boldly points the way towards your next challenge. The GS logo says that you ride at the head of the pack.
Lightweight and slender: the rear and tank
The lightweight plastic tank of this BMW GS is a milestone, not only in terms of weight optimisation but also for the vehicle’s design. It weighs 62% less than a steel tank, yet holds a full 14.5 litres – enough fuel for your adventures. The rear is noticeably slim, making the GS lighter as a result. You can easily attach soft bags, rucksacks or aluminium cases here.
