M perfection: winglets
Perfection is in the details. The refined black winglets generate aerodynamic downforce, and at 220 km/h, they increase the front-wheel load by 11 kg.

Your benefit: maximum riding stability and a lower tendency for the front wheel to lift off the road surface, letting you brake later and accelerate earlier when cornering. If you prefer more exclusive M 1000 R equipment, you can select the M winglets in Carbon from the optional M Competition package.

M experience: electronics
The fully fledged M experience the 6.5-inch TFT display, it welcomes you to the exclusive circle of high-performance riders with its M start-up animation. On this BMW motorsport bike, one of four screen variants appears automatically after startup, thanks to the memory function. The Race Pro modes are optimised specially for pushing limits on the racetrack.

M dominance: engine
Superbike engine perfected for a hyper roadster: the four-cylinder engine from the M 1000 R with BMW ShiftCam technology catapults you from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. With a maximum engine speed of 14,600 rpm, the BMW M 1000 R is clearly our most powerful roadster. From 10,000 rpm onwards, you can feel more torque and acceleration.

In terms of gear ratio, the M 1000 R has more to offer compared with the RR: with 47 teeth instead of 46 in the secondary gear ratio and a shorter gear ratio in the 4th, 5th and 6th gears compared to the S 1000 R – perfect for performance-orientated riding on country roads. The Shift Assistant Pro enables fast upshifts and downshifts, while the bike's rich sound originating from the titanium rear silencer impressively emphasises its sporty character.

M riding experience: chassis
With clear feedback and breathtaking target accuracy, the chassis is equipped with:

• Standard DDC
• Fully adjustable suspension elements
• Adjustable steering damper
• Milled handlebar clamp.

For the BMW M 1000 R, the setup was modified from the RR to match the demands of a dynamic roadster. The ergonomics are enhanced by a front wheel-orientated seating position, providing support when you’re leaning forward.

M intelligence: assistants
Rather than doping, achieve high levels of performance thanks to high-end assistants. This BMW sport motorbike has five accelerator characteristics, such as the Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro riding modes, delivering an optimum response in any condition . DTC ensures maximum safety and dynamic riding tailored to each mode, while the Brake Slide Assist helps you control braking drifts when cornering.

M statement: design
Dominant front, compact rear with frame and rear wheel swinging arm in exclusive Platinum grey: M 1000 R at its best. Take your place on the M seat and reach for the tubular handlebar with lasered “BMW M 1000 R” lettering.
