The new Keeway e-Zi mini packs a lot into a small electric scooter! With demand stronger than ever for electric scooters, a lot of potential buyers are put off by the high price of most electric scooters, but Keeway has broken that mould with the new e-Zi with a price of £1499 + OTR. Keeway has also managed to achieve this without sacrificing on build quality or spec. With full LED lighting, LCD display, alloy wheels, built-in alarm system, Keyless ignition, push-button start, switchable power levels, a potent 48v 1000w rear hub motor powered by a 48v 20AH lithium battery with a top speed of 45kmh restricted to meet UK 50cc licence requirements and a range of 45km Supported by a front disc brake, rear drum brake and full suspension allow for a nimble and comfortable ride. With a quick charge time of 7 hours for a full charge making it ideal for commuting to work and leaving on charge during your working day. The interchangeable battery units also making it a suitable local delivery bike, being able to swap over to a fresh battery to get you back out on the road and avoid downtime while charging. As this is the equivalent of a 50cc, If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 there is no need to take a CBT course and you do not have to display L plates. If you passed your car driving test on or after 1 February 2001you'll need to complete a compulsory basic training (CBT) course. You can then ride a moped (up to 50cc) without L plates and do not need to retake your CBT every 2 years and you can ride mopeds for as long as your car driving licence lasts. Obviously, you can also ride the Keeway e-Zi mini on a provisional licence and take a CBT course that lasts for 2 years.
